CAP: 2 - 7cm in diameter. Orange - yellow-orange. Convex becoming shallowly funnel-shaped with an incurved sometimes wavy margin. Paling with age. STIPE: Concolorous with the cap with a dry surface. Central or eccentric in attachment. GILLS/PORES: Narrow, close, decurrent, repeatedly forked, orange and sometimes brighter than the cap. FLESH: Flesh thin, pallid to pale orange. SPORES: White, smooth, ellipsoid. HABITAT: Grows in troops under conifers. SEASON: Common.  Late summer to autumn. EDIBILITY: Inedible.
